Martyrs' Shrine, Midland
Cost: $60 / person (all inclusive)
$75 / person if you require bus transportation (pick-up locations and times can be found on the registration form)
Every summer the Office of Catholic Youth hosts a weekend long rally at Martyrs' Shrine in Midland, ON. The weekend is modelled on World Youth Day, and this year will be running at the same time as the celebration in Madrid, Spain. Programming is for youth and young adults aged 14-35. We offer music, catechesis, Mass, Reconciliation, Adoration and fellowship with young people from across the Archdiocese of
Toronto. Individuals, parish youth groups and even young families have made this event a key part of their summer!
For young adults, a self-guided retreat option will be available once again this year. See below for more details.

WANT TO GO FOR FREE?
In an effort to help this event be the success we wish it to be, the Archdiocese is generously offering a full subsidy to 5 young people from every parish to attend the
Rally. If you have sent groups in the past we hope you will see this as a way of saying "thank-you" for your support. If you have never sent young people we hope you will take advantage
of this promotion and give us the opportunity to connect with youth or young adults from your community.
*Any additional registrants beyond five will be required to pay the full amount of $60.00 per person ($75.00 with transportation)

Pastors have been sent a special Archdiocesan Subsidy Form through the Pouch Mailing.
THOSE WISHING TO USE THIS SUBSIDY MUST BE PART OF AN ARCHDIOCESE OF TORONTO PARISH AND BE APPROVED BY THEIR PASTOR.

Special Events during the WYD Regional Celebration
YOUNG ADULT SELF DIRECTED RETREAT
Once again this year the OCY is offering a self-directed retreat for young adults ages 25 and older. It is a chance to participate in all rally activities but enjoy a more spiritual, reflective
weekend. The young adult retreat which will include a separate catechesis session. The facilitator for the retreat will be confirmed as the WYD Regional Celebration draws near.
THE OCY SUMMER GAMES
The OCY is excited to bring a new addition to the weekend this year. Over the course of Saturday afternoon, participants will be able to team up and compete in the inaugural OCY Summer Games. These fun and friendly competitions will take place over a variety of activities including soccer and and a relay race through an inflatable obstacle course. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams!
THE AMAZING RACE
Detours. Roadblocks. Fast Forwards. Get your team of 8-10 people ready for the first ever Youth Rally Amazing Race. Solve puzzling challenges, race to key locations, learn about the Martyrs' Shrine grounds
and win some great prizes! Further details including Team Registration will be posted here as the WYD Regional Celebration draws closer.
VISIT STE. MARIE AMONG THE HURONS
During free time on Saturday afternoon, you have the opportunity to visit a nationally significant historic site. Sainte-Marie among the Hurons was the 17th Century fortress and headquarters for the French Jesuit mission to the Huron nation and was Ontario's first European community. The Office of Catholic Youth has negotiated a
special admission price of $5 for each participant who wishes to visit Ste. Marie during the Free Time scheduled for Saturday afternoon after lunch.
